My undergraduate days at School of Law, Christ University were the building blocks that helped me start a successful career as a corporate lawyer. School of Law, Christ was platform for getting involved in free debate and building a culture of academic excellence. I must give a special mention of the stellar debating and mooting culture of Christ which helped me build an edge over other when it comes having a dialogue on any relevant contemporary topic . SLCU instilled deep-rooted discipline in my life which has a vital role to play in litigation. Getting into Christ is a matter of pride, honor and joy, however, returning to college as a Masters student in Mathematics can be as intimidating as it sounds. But, the Department of Mathematics and my class have always helped me to feel more confident about the subject. Overwhelmed is one of the many words to express my feelings when I think about my college. Five years back, I joined Christ (Deemed to be University) as a student with splendid dreams yet uncertain about the possibilities that I have. Today, I could see the transformation that I have undergone—erudite and sophisticated.The selfless and dedicated efforts of the faculty are worth mentioning that makes me count myself into a better professional. With an attitude of being ever ready to facilitate besides the classroom lecture, they have always been pillars of both life and learning.

The English Honours programme helped me to better engage with my own thoughts and beliefs as well as empathise with other people’s thoughts and beliefs. The courses offered under the programme engage with all aspects of our being such as gender, disability, caste, class, nature, environment and so on. This wholesome orientation of the programme enabled me to understand different ways of the society by engaging me in a process of learning and unlearning.

Education is about learning to unlearn', this is exactly what the Media studies department taught me during the course of my study there. The highlight of the department is the vivid and well equipped team of professors, who taught me to develop a critical mind set on every issue. The togetherness amongst the diverse members of the department is especially visible during the variety of fests the department conducts. Altogether, the Media studies department is an educational treat which helped me utilize my talents and become a better person academically and personally.

It's a matter of pride when I say - hands down - I was a part of the coolest department on campus! Three years of my life spent here shook up potentials within me I never knew existed! And this was possible because I had these amazing bunch of talented and creative individuals that I call my teachers, the ones who made learning so dynamic, the knowledge they shared broadened so many perspectives, and the best part, it was down right fun. Everyday in our department was a challenge - spent on educating, and empowering students to be the best, most quirkiest version of themselves. The media department will have your creative juices flowing, helping you tackle one thought provoking problem after another, bringing out your originality to the maximum

This department has (and always will have) a very special place in my heart. It served as a collaborative learning space, and functioned as a foster ground for not only ideas but also people. With its emphasis on shared creativity and participation, the department through its myriad academic as well as non-academic activities has facilitated my personal growth. It was here that I began to lay the foundation for my future, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the incessant support and mentorship provided by the faculty. I take great pride in saying that my present and future traces back to this wonderful place, in how it has shaped and inspired me!

My experience of pursuing Journalism Honours at CHRIST, has truly been a memorable one. What this program has done for me extends beyond the classroom; I believe I have grown as an individual, which is an ode to my learning, interaction and the opportunities that this course presented me with. Journalism Honours is a course that makes you think, reflect, ideate and execute which in itself is a phenomenal process of learning. 

I am extremely grateful for the Faculty members who taught concepts which I am still actively applying in professional and educational spheres of my life. Be it comprehending marketing strategies through understanding symbols, seeking reliable sources of news, blending in with new media tools, articulating my research and thought and looking for context and greater understanding of things- I have learnt how to learn all thanks to my course and the team that carries it forward. This is Thomas George (Rev) an ordained priest in the Mar Thoma Syrian Church. I was fortunate to be a student of the MA in English with Communication Studies first batch 2008-2010. The MA programme offered to us a wide variety of disciplines. The international mixture of students from diverse backgrounds made the class a unique ground for us to battle with ideas, concepts, stylistics and the like. From grammar to phonetics to social theory to different era and ages the program provided us with enough and more challenges to not settle down with. The exploration continues while the programme gave us a good base. As a priest and a student of theology hermeneutics was greatly shaped through MA years. As a musician and dramatist, the programme let us wild into experimenting with different art forms. Interactions with guests from various fields also broadened our outlook. Thanks to our guides, mentors and teachers we take pride with heads held high and hearts so strong to March on as Christites.

When I came to Christ University in 2010, I had a very vague sense of purpose. I was fascinated with the form of cinema, and that led me to imagine that I should work in the area of media and arts. Apart from that, I had little to no understanding of art and aesthetics be it literary, visual or cinematic. It was in my literature classes at Christ, that I developed an understanding of looking at art or 'reading' critically. I realised that the act of reading into works of literature and art was more than a mere academic exercise for me, it was a pursuit of pleasure. This understanding would've escaped me without the training I received in the art of reading by the teachers of the English Department.

My undergraduate literature classes thrilled me so much that I shifted gears away from a career in Media, and decided to come back to Christ for a Masters degree in English. Our master's course was unique because it placed equal emphasis on creative practice as on theoretical research. I immensely enjoyed papers like Creative Writing and Theatre in Practice, along with activities like Srujana (service learning) and film clubs, while also learning to appreciate the rigorous process of academic research in Research Methods classes.

I am happy that today, I am involved in research and teaching with The Kabir Project at Srishti Institute of Art where we are archiving the oral traditions of spiritual poetry in India, and also simultaneously involved in the practice of creative writing independently. I hope I can keep finding ways for a co-existence of academic and creative pursuits in my life, and let each approach inform the other. I hope to finish my doctoral studies soon and teach actively (a passion I picked up during my days in Christ), while also continuing to write poetry and fiction.

One of my favourite memories at Christ was when the English Department got our class to put up a production of ‘A Streetcar Named Desire’. Not only was it extremely fun to play Blanche DuBois, but it was also illuminating to find new kinds of writing in what I think is one of the most diverse curricula in my college experience.

My time at Christ studying English instilled in me a deep knowledge and love of a wide range of literatures, and a flair for theatre (and theatrics) that has followed me since.

I was committed to Jabberwocky-the annual Literary carnival, hosted by the English Department as part of my Bachelors program between 2011 - 2014. The facilitators always helped us to find the questions within our personal spaces, and expand them to the Universe out there. I was so inspired after reading 'Leaves of Grass' by Walt Whitman, that I decided to take my bicycle on a solo trip from Bangalore to Jaipur, and then Jaipur to Vietnam. I cycled through 7 countries in a span of 8 months, and relived all that I had learned in my classes on this journey. Studying English Literature at Christ University helped me to get in touch with my own voice, and be able to express it to the world.

I have plenty of wonderful memories at Christ University, be it the friends I made or the faculty that taught me, 2009-2012 were some of the best years of my life. As a student of Journalism, English Literature and Psychology, I had the pleasure of being under the tutelage of some of the finest teachers from the English Department.

Literature has been of great help to me as it helped me shape my views and understand the daily events in the context of the past, present, and future implications. Be it British, American, or Indian Literature: each text has empowered me as a reporter to go beyond the news, helped me to understand the rich social, economic,  and cultural legacy which continues to dominate every sphere of current events.

I didn't have a taste for Literature, but it was because of my teachers that I developed one. It opened a new world to me, enabled me to get access a worldview which transcends geography, and language; Literature classes helped me to evolve as an individual and become more diverse and inclusive in nature.

I was fortunate to have been taught by a motivated, enthusiastic and academically driven pool of faculty members who have helped me find my grounding in Academics. The CEP course provided me with an opportunity to explore advertising, Journalism and other such allied ventures and introduced several professional areas that helped broaden my horizon. I presented a paper in the final year of my Under Graduate program which made me realize that my true passion lies with the Academia. As a research Scholar on the verge of submitting her doctoral thesis, it would be quite apt to attribute my love for literature to my Alma matter, the Department of English at Christ. Much like the pilgrims in the Canterbury Tales I have now embarked on my own journey to seek and explore the world of narratives.

The teachers inducted us into the arcane world of English literature in unique ways. The teachers also had a unique way of reeling in the motley crew of seemingly recalcitrant high school graduates disguised as freshmen. Needless to say, it worked. To be honest I had no great expectations of literature altering my life in any significant way. I knew I liked the written word, but I hadn’t experienced its’ full impact until I was taught how to navigate my way to the right ones. That’s where the English Department came in. To teach me, through an understanding of rhyme scheme, that there was a science behind creating and understanding prose. An understanding I try and utilise in my professional life till day. I was also taught that the right text needed the right tools, like literary theory, for dissection etc. To quote Anias Nin, “we write so we can taste life twice”. And as a corollary, I’d say we read so we can lead many lives.

Life is meant to be lived without regrets. Performing Arts at Christ chiselled not just some of the most beautiful moments of life also values and life skills that are empowering me to keep living without regrets and creating more beautiful moments for all around me”

More experience based learning is being adopted, as opposed to traditional examinations. This has proven to be  more useful given the nature of the subject.

It gave a good base for a masters' programme. Was almost equal to one as well.

It is a privilege and a pleasure for me to train the students on Neuropsychology tests and  I  strongly believe that the academic discipline and the designs of the BSc Psychology Honours modules are new in the Psychology teaching setup, and I generally enjoy the great interaction with the students. This Honours course is advanced in teaching, through its well structured Psychology Lab.  The Honours course also gives importance for research, allowing our faculty to provide students with new knowledge needed in their careers. I strongly recommend it.

They say great leaders are not born but are made, and I strongly feel Christ Deemed to be a university is such a place which creates the perfect ambience and exposure that brings out the best of one's qualities and pushes him/her to their maximum potential. My college gave me the push I needed to stand where I am today running two bootstrapped startups successfully. It taught me how to be a good manager, how to be a good leader and more than that it taught me how to be a generous and conscious human being.

I graduated from Christ University with a Bachelors in Business Administration, specialising in marketing and I am currently working with Zoho Corporation as a Geo-marketer. I remember being fascinated by the beaming energy of the campus as I stepped into the university for the very first time. Christ has something amazing to offer for everyone, what worked for me as a business student was the extensive business festing experience the university offered, sparking my interest in the field of marketing. I strongly believe that the holistic curriculum combined with the scope to explore co-curricular and extra-curricular interests has helped me groom myself into a more confident version of myself, getting me equipped for the 'world of work'.

The environment of diverse views and academic fields at CHRIST (Deemed to be University) allowed for interaction, discussions and differences of opinion between people from all sides of the spectrum. As a commerce student, you could be participating in events with students from humanities or law and building friendships as well as excelling in your extracurricular interests. That ability to handle and understand diverse views played an important role when I came into the profession of journalism at the Reuters News Agency. Moreover, the specific curriculum at the School of Commerce, particularly the understanding of finances and basic economics, played an important role in enabling me to get started at Reuters as a business journalist with coverage of company news and macroeconomic indicators before I expanded coverage into other fields later in my career.

Christ University has always felt like a home to me, one where you meet so very many heterogeneous people from all across India, and in many cases, the world even. The three years I had the privilege of spending a year, were nothing short of a dream come true. Every single moment spent here was one of personal development and transformation for me, it truly groomed me for what the world has to offer. While the lectures themselves are incredibly informative and interesting - there's so much more to Christ than the academics, and that's for the students to seize. During my time in Christ I was engaged in almost every extra-curricular activity that I felt an interest for - from being the student coordinator for the Synthesize International Conference hosted in collaboration with Arnhem Business School, Netherlands or leading with other final year students in the Entrepreneurship Cell. My time here has been really motivating and telling, the professors here are incredible mentors who guide you every step of the way, all you need to do is ask! And it is certain that any student that passes through the portals of Christ is never the same person that stepped in, they are always more resilient, more holistic and better developed!

I sold my first cupcake in second year of BCom honours and this hobby became a business because my professors pushed me to look at it that way. I was fortunate to be sent around the country presenting my business plan through the Entrepreneurship cell at college. Today, that business plan became a reality and I'm the founder of an all-women bakery called Dream a Dozen. CHRIST gives students every chance to believe that no matter what talent you have, with hard work you can pursue it to be a career opportunity that will change the world. 

I believe, personally, Christ has taught me a lot. The cohort was very diverse that makes you interact and collaborate with so many ethnicities which in the end helps you build a multi-cultural mindset for the future. Also, on a practical front, I was always involved in co-curriculars through festing and clubs which developed my skills that were very useful in my academia as well as my current professional career.

Christ (Deemed to be University) is always going to be very close to my heart. I spent my 3 years there learning and making memories that I will cherish for a lifetime.

When I joined Christ university I was in the first Batch for the BBA in Finance and International Business course and part of the first batch to enter the new Bannerghatta campus. The course I selected was structured extremely well and in accordance with international standards. Other than academics christ provided me with opportunities to excel in extracurriculars like business feasting, entrepreneurship cell, sports and cultural events. Christ university also gave me a great platform to develop my leadership skills and gain technical knowledge in my core specialisation with a research focus, that helped me in my Master’s degree and well as my professional career.

Christ university was my home away from home. Over the course of 3 years, I had an amazing learning experience which always encouraged me to explore opportunities out of my comfort zone. I gained invaluable first hand experience working with real organizations, experiences which I will continuously draw upon in my future career.

The Department of Media Studies at Christ University is one of the most proactive and enthusiastic departments I have ever been part of. Its learned faculty compliment each other’s expertise and academic interests very well.

As a student of the JPEng Programme, I admired how the coursework and teaching was always designed to stimulate interdisciplinary learning, drawing insights from disciplines such as cultural studies, gender studies and film studies. I’m also part of the department’s thriving alumni network that allows for resourceful exchange of information.

In my capacity as a doctoral scholar, I have observed there is growing impetus within the department to encourage rigourous research involving student-teacher collaborations. From my prolonged engagement with the department, as a curious student to a guest faculty who has taught modules to postgraduate students, I vouch for the members of staff to be approachable and committed to train future media practitioners in a professional manner.

Being a student of  the first batch of MSc Biotechnology in CHRIST (Deemed to be University) was an unforgettable journey. Constant support from my Lecturers for academics and personal development has shaped my learning experience. I will be eternally indebted for the University for enabling us to be full fledged professionals.

The Department of Life Sciences provided me with a strong academic foundation that has further supported my research work. Using skills that I developed in our practical sessions, I have been able to gather the basic techniques required for a research-based career in the biological sciences. I am immensely grateful for the faculty who ensured that I performed experiments with the utmost care and attention to detail, while enriching my experience with extracurricular activities, fests and leadership opportunities. It is the culmination of extensive theoretical knowledge, dedicated laboratory time and overall holistic development in the Department of Life Sciences that has gotten me to where I am today.

My two years of Masters at Christ (deemed to be University) made me improve a lot on my inter and intrapersonal skills. The department of life sciences, with all its facilities and well experienced faculties have put in all efforts to groom me as a result of which I am now pursuing PhD in an eminent institute with a national fellowship. The department has to be appreciated for shaping the syllabus in a such a way as to be able to crack the national level exams. I am happy and proud to be a Christite.

As a student in the Life Sciences department at Christ, I gained both the technical expertise and confidence to approach inter-disciplinary research with immense curiosity.  The instructors in each course were skilled, patient and offered individualized attention to students. I was so impressed with the emphasis on overall growth and I am  thankful to have been a part of this program. I have learned so much that I'm able to apply across multiple disciplines of my work.
 

Christ University was unfamiliar to me before I visited India. I joined the University to pursue my studies and once I came to India, there were language and cultural barriers that made it hard for me to communicate and understand people. But a few months into Christ, I was able to communicate better in the English language, thanks to the amicable students and friendly atmosphere. Christ University has made me disciplined and responsible, all because of the rules and regulations regarding attendance,  assignments, and dress code. Through my years in Christ, I have been able to develop my skills and knowledge and work towards my goal. I wish to thank my friends and extend my gratitude to the University for its constant efforts in molding me into the person that I am today.

The whole reason I came to India was to get a different college experience. And I wouldn’t say I am disappointed at all. Amongst the other 3 universities in India that I got into, I chose Christ because of the exposure Christ gives to its students. That was the main catch for me. There’s something for everybody. If you’re into photography, you have it, if you’re into theatre, you got it. In every batch of any department, you could throw a bouquet and it would touch at least 3 international students; and the group of international students in Christ. it’s a close-knit community.

Christ University has played a very important role in my life...My university experiences thus far have been amazing. I have learned and experienced so many new things in such a short period of time, and it has gone by so fast. I am still discovering all the opportunities that the university offers me. Christ University is a very welcoming place, and from the first day, I felt at home here. I have made many new friends from many different backgrounds. There are Tibetians and Singaporean students in my law school department and that has allowed me an insight into their cultures. My classes are great and I enjoy every one of them. The depth and detail of what we are learning are far beyond my high school experience. It is just amazing to think that even the tiniest details on the subatomic level can have such a huge impact.

My studies of Mathematics (BSc) at Christ University played a key role in shaping my career. Thanks to the amazing faculty, curriculum and learning resources available, my problem-solving and critical thinking skills improved tremendously during the course, as my passion for the subject grew. The level of dedication and support from the faculty in and out of the classroom was remarkable, and worth commending. The diverse nature of assignments and co-curricular activities, including science exhibitions, enriched my learning experience as they developed my research skills and ability to innovatively apply mathematics in the real world. It was indeed a privilege for me to be part of the Mathematics department.

I was privileged to belong to the first batch of the MSc Actuarial Science programme at Christ University, Bangalore in June 2013, and this programme was instrumental to my success in completing the actuarial professional exams from the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK. I started my actuarial professional exam journey in April 2014, and completed all the Core Technical (CT) exams during my stay at Christ University. I currently hold the Fellowship qualification of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
At Christ University, the MSc Actuarial Science curriculum was designed not just to help students succeed in the Core Technical professional exams, but to also give students knowledge and skills required to thrive in their careers as actuaries. Most of my faculties were professionals in the industry and knew what it takes to qualify as an actuary. 
I am a proud product of Christ University, Bangalore, where I also completed my undergraduate degree (BSc) in Computer Science, Mathematics and Statistics. As an international student, Christ University made me feel at home, and I was privileged to be a beneficiary of its postgraduate Scholarship programme for Distinguished International Christites.
I am indeed grateful for my holistic development at Christ University, its Core Values and motto of Excellence and Service which has kept me MARCHING ON!

Sky is not a limit, there is a world beyond it- that is what I experienced in the 2 years I spent with my CHRIST family. I am truly blessed to be a part of this world-class institution as each day was a new learning experience. I got the opportunity to explore and discover myself.
MSc. Actuarial Science (MSAS) is a unique postgraduate course offered by CHRIST Deemed to be University as its uniqueness is reflected in the curriculum, professors who are industry professionals, companies coming for placements and the vide it creates for students to grow and prosper.
Residing in Jonas Hall, was the cherry on the top. At 7:30 in the morning, it was a pleasure to see the smiling faces of our guards, friends and the teachers. I miss those fresh mornings!
I remember the days as a University Student Council member, it provided me with a platform to represent our small MSAS family and spread awareness of the Actuarial Profession and the course to a wider audience.
The journey from a Student to an Adjunct faculty of MSAS, was like a journey of transformation from a seed to a plant. This would not have been possible without our lovely faculty members. They were more than a family who inspired us and kept us motivated throughout and even after graduating.
Towards the end of my post-graduation, little did I realize that CHRIST paved the way for me to embark upon a new journey of accomplishing the dreams.

The journey at Christ was an amazing amalgamation of learning, growing, discovering my talent & networking with a very diverse group. From getting opportunities to participate in quizzes all across the country to honing one's leadership skills, and from academics to assignments, it had it all. A memorable experience indeed!

Christ University has moulded me holistically and aided me to contribute to the society effectively during the span of two years pursuing Masters in Mathematics. This is aligned with the Mission of the University and the untiring efforts of the Department of Mathematics. The knowledge and skill set gained from the university have facilitated me in pursuing core specialization in the field of Modelling and Simulation in the Indian Navy.

Getting into Christ is a matter of pride, honor and joy, however, returning to college as a Masters student in Mathematics can be as intimidating as it sounds. But, the Department of Mathematics and my class have always helped me to feel more confident about the subject. A lot of this is due to the atmosphere created in the department by the wonderful professors who have always been so approachable and helpful both on and off campus. One of the fondest memories of the college is the great rapport between the students and professors which each of us have taken along our individual journeys. The 2 years in Christ had made Mathematics enjoyable.

My experience at Christ University in the department of Mathematics has proved to be an indelible part of my academic and professional career. Through the support of the department, I was able to secure a British Council Scholarship to pursue my Masters in Data Science in Liverpool, which exposed me to a plethora of opportunities. My strong theoretical background along with relevant practical skills developed through the curriculum at Christ has continuously enabled me to adapt my work across a number of industries - from building performance models for IPL teams, to demand forecasting in agriculture.

It will certainly not be an exaggeration to say that I use my mathematical perspective of the world every single day to create a positive impact in society and I use the word perspective for a reason. Beyond outstanding training in the rudiments of the impeccable theoretical framework that form the core of modern mathematical sciences and research, my professors at Christ University’s Department of Mathematics taught me how to observe the world through the looking glass of mathematics. Today, I use that very perspective I acquired from them to help the international scientific community battle the century’s biggest enemy–climate change. I am eternally grateful to the department for shaping me into an individual with integrity, courage, passion, professionalism, decision making skills, and a mathematical thought process for a satisfying career in science, and for life at large.

I have had the privilege to complete my triple major UG programme under the aegis of the Department of Mathematics in 2019. The environment, the faculty and the facilities there facilitate the learning and growth of students, honing up their logical skills while developing their competence in core subjects. Along with infrastructure of the University, ample opportunities are available for holistic development of students. I  could pursue my interests in multiple fields by being part of the University Cultural Team, the University Choir, developing models in the exhibitions organized by the department, sweating-out in the basketball courts, developing soft skills by being member of Leadership Development credit course, learning the nuances of income tax in another credit course, the list goes on endlessly....... And all of these, under the ‘fear’ of constant ‘hawk-eyed’ vigil by our mentors in the department, who kept us disciplined and focused at all times. I thank the university for being part of the journey of my joining the Indian Air Force.

B.Sc. Economics, Mathematics and Statistics at CHRIST provides an ideal package for students aspiring to pursue further studies (in Economics/Mathematics/Statistics/data science), or work at a research/corporate organisation. It imparts theory complemented with software knowledge (e.g., R, Python, MATLAB), which makes the course quite application oriented. As with any school and more so with CHRIST, the peer-to-peer learning is the highlight as students spend most of their day with their classmates. This results in some fruitful collaborations – such as teaching. learning and ideating on the material. Such collaborations extend beyond the classroom and enable people to participate as a team in events related to their subject of study (e.g., Mathematics fests-Convergence & Sequence) and other activities (e.g., street play, teaching underprivileged children). Finally, the friends and network one makes are unimaginable and are long lasting – many pursue higher studies at elite institutions (both within India and abroad) while others work at the corporate firms in India

My journey started with Christ university back in 2013 as a student in BSc Economics, mathematics and statistics.The course created an inclination towards pursuing actuarial science and provided and strong base right at the beginning of my career.  Moreover, the university has its own charm and energy. It always motivates to engage in activities other than academia and builds once confidence to deal with challenges that occur in day to day life.

I completed my post graduation in MSc Actuarial Science in 2019. We celebrated our first Actuaries day in that academic year where I had chance to host the event. I can never forget how this paved way to host the Young Actuaries Connect conducted by Institute of Actuaries of  India. Well, these are the little surprises university brings through its reputation and association with various professional bodies and organisations.

Lastly, it is my honour to be an adjunct faculty and contribute back to the university. I feel extremely overwhelmed by the faith university and professors kept in me and always recognised my potential.

Currently, I am working as Senior Actuarial analyst at Swiss Re global, a thought in 2013 that turned into reality.

I am excited to share how pursuing CA Intermediate along with BCom F&A degree at Christ University has been an incredible experience. Clearing CA Foundation was a big milestone for me, and the integrated courses in BCom have been very useful in preparing for CA Intermediate. This has helped me gain a deeper understanding of the concepts, and has made studying for both programmes a lot more streamlined. Moreover, the timings of the BCom classes being in the morning have been very beneficial as we attend CA coaching classes after the BCom classes. The faculties are incredibly supportive and motivating, providing the right advice at the right time. Pursuing two programmes simultaneously is no easy feat, but their constant support has helped me so much.

I take immense pleasure to share that I've cleared CA foundation with distinction while pursuing a degree in Bcom F&A 1st year. I'm glad that I made a right decision of choosing Christ University which offered me a wonderful course that has a blend of both Bcom F&A and CA through out it's entire programme. It was indeed a great experience while tackling the battle of clearing this exam, which was truly challenging. Despite it being competitive, I gave in all my efforts and I'm here today, having cleared the exam. Studying a unique kind of course has provided me a fantastic experience and a new way of being able to manage time with inculcating technical as well as soft skills which are going to help me for my next step of success. I managed to even participate in extra curricular activities. Department has never let me stay idle, which I'm truly enjoying while studying.

When I was working as a Trade Advisor at Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Cooperation (MPIDC) in the Export Cell, my multidisciplinary background due to Liberal Arts played a pivotal role in securing the position. My expertise in international relations, economics, and business set me apart. The numerous activities, internships, and capstone projects I engaged in during my time in college also showcased practical exposure even as a fresher. I was able to leverage these experiences to land my job. I’m grateful to CHRIST (Deemed to be University) and the Department of Liberal Arts for providing me with the exposure needed to stand out in such a fast paced world. 

The Liberal Arts programme sparked my interest in sustainability and its intersection with various disciplines. I hold fond memories of being a part of the first batch, and working closely with the faculty of the Liberal Arts  through every step of my journey at CHRIST (Deemed to be University). I am now associated with The Takshashila Institution, an independent centre for research and education in public policy, working as an Assistant Programme Manager for their Graduate Certificate in Public Policy (Defence and Foreign Affairs) programme. 

Liberal arts students aren’t meant to be placed in a box but creates a multifaceted approach to how we deal with things day to day. Personally, liberal arts has helped me acquire dynamic positions where I’m a growth lead at a pharmaceutical based company and only my multidisciplinary education has helped me think in ways that integrate various different approaches to my daily problem solving. I also have started my own company which is completely different from my 9-5 and I was only able to do that because I was not limited to just one discipline. It’s helped me actively manage multiple things at once even when they aren’t interrelated but also allowed myself to find connections in the two areas of my career paths and find dynamic solutions that work for both!

Doing a Liberal Arts degree has been one of the best decisions I have ever made because not only did it give me the opportunity to explore and understand what I am inclined towards and what I would like to pursue in the future, it has also helped me focus on the bigger picture and the issues that we are facing in today’s world and how we can try to solve the same. I am currently in Social Beat, a digital marketing company, and the surprising fact is that I never knew I had an inclination towards digital marketing before I took this degree. Overall, I would say that the degree has not only helped me improve and advance academically but also holistically.
